My Streetfighter 4 Design Competition entry on Don't Panic

http://www.dontpaniconline.com/designbrief/entry/?id=5494

To enter yo also had to write a short piece no more than 100 words. This is what I wrote: My idea: What I am trying to show and represent in my design is Ryu smashing out of the Street Fighter 2 days and into a less pixelated future (Like Street Fighter4). I think it is so cool they kept the game play in the same 2D style, but added 3D effects. I remember playing Street Fighter 4 as a kid on the old Mega Drive and SNES until I had blisters on my fingers. Me and my friends used to have our own tournaments, winner styles on. So this is my tribute of the past looking into the future.

If you like my submission please vote for me on the above link. Voting starts March 2nd.

Madagascar 2 Penguin Speakers

I just came across this prize giveaway online for Madagascar 2 movie merchandise. The reason I'm blogging about this is that the picture of the penguin speakers used is one of my mock ups I did in my last job and I actually came up with the idea of making penguin speakers for the movie merchandise. Seeing this online makes me proud. http://www.newworlds.ph/?p=1306

Funnys comic strip

The characters in this cartoon look just like my parents, so found this funny.

Birthday's

Last week was a week full of Birthdays including my own. Here is a card I made for one of my friends in about 30mins. As you can see it's for Jimi. I was quite happy with the card so thought I would add it to my blog and keep a record of it. Jimi is big on the zine home-made culture, so that's the reason behind it.

I didn't get a Birhday cake this year instead my mum got a cake which said "Man at work", think my mum is trying to hint something to me.

Sir Henry Cooper unveils his own blue plaque in Old Kent Road (featuring some of my illustrations)

Back in September 2008 I was at Nolia's gallery for the unveiling of Sir Henry Coopers blue plaque. My illustrated poster designs which I created for a Charity event a couple years earlier were put on display for the day and can be seen in the background behind Henry and the others. It's probably might seem a bit odd bloging about this nearly 7 months later, but at the time I didn't have a blog and I wanted to keep a record of this.

Henry was a really friendly and down to earth guy and he even had a chat to me and signed some of my artwork.

More info on the day can be found here: http://www.london-se1.co.uk/news/view/3488

Inner city snail

This guy guy has a great sense of humour. It's the same guy who does the Little people in city stuff, were he leaves little tiny models of people doing everyday things to quite funny things in random places in London. http://www.innercitysnail.blogspot.com/

Super Superfical's T-shirt designs

The other week when I was out and about I came across this new shop I've never seen before near Covent Garden. The t-shirts in the shop window caught my eye and made me smile. So I went in and had a look around. It has some cool designs, but a bit pricey for my liking. Here are the too which I found the funniest.

Video magazine reviews

I just saw this from my Creative Review blog update email. I agree with CR, this is a really cool idea. It's basically a video review of magazines. Check out the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XRptRVigwk

Pixelated street art

This is is my 1st attempt of trying to blog and I'm not sure what to blog about. So I thought I would start off with sharing stuff that I think is cool.

I love pixelated graphics which are done properly. I also love finding street art. This this picture has both. I'ts like being in a real life super Mario world. I found this picture on: http://www.fubiz.net/
